Managing Your Calendar
Your DJfindr calendar is the core of your booking operations. By keeping it updated, you ensure that you only receive inquiries for dates you are actually available.- Navigate to Bookings > Calendar from your dashboard sidebar.
- Here, you can view your upcoming events, sent proposals, and blocked dates.
- Click any date or drag across multiple dates to Block Time. This prevents clients from requesting you for that specific period.
- External Sync: We highly recommend connecting your external calendars (like Google Calendar or Apple Calendar) so that any busy events on your personal calendar automatically block out your availability on DJfindr. See the Calendar Sync guide for more information.
Handling Inquiries
When a client wants to book you, you will receive an inquiry in your Inbox.- Review the event details (location, date, requested genres, and occasion).
- Use the chat thread to iron out any final details, negotiate rates, or ask questions.
- Once you’re ready, click Create Proposal on the event details pane.
Sending a Proposal
The Proposal Builder allows you to send a binding quote to the client.- Set the Service Rate.
- Add any Extras (like fog machines, extra lighting, or travel fees) that you and the client discussed.
- Specify your required Payment Terms (e.g., 50% deposit upfront, and 50% due the week of the event).
- Review the auto-generated contract and send the proposal to the client.
Managing Reviews
After an event is completed, the client will have the opportunity to leave a review.- Go to Bookings > Reviews to see what clients are saying about your performances.
- Reviews and ratings are displayed publicly on your DJ profile and heavily influence your search ranking. Always aim to provide top-tier service to secure a 5-star rating!
