The Event Proposal is the most critical document on DJfindr. It serves as both the rate quote and the final binding contract between you and your client.

Creating a Proposal

Once you and a client have agreed to terms in the Inbox, you can formalize those terms by building a proposal.
  1. Navigate to Bookings > Events.
  2. Select the actively inquiring client’s event.
  3. Click Create Proposal.

The Proposal Builder

You must fill out four key sections to generate a quote:

1. Service Rate

This is the base price you are charging for the primary block of time requested by the client.

2. Event Extras

If you discussed bringing a fog machine, extra uplighting, or traveling more than 50 miles, you can add those as Extras. These appear as distinct line items on the client’s final invoice.

3. Payment Terms

You define exactly how you want to be paid.
  • 100% Upfront: The client must pay the total cost immediately to secure the booking.
  • 50% Deposit / 50% Later: A common standard. The client secures the date with half the funds now, and the rest is automatically charged close to the event date.

4. Review & Send

Review the automatically generated terms document. DJfindr handles the legalese based on your inputs. If everything looks correct, click Send to Client.

Proposal Statuses

  • Draft: You are building it, the client cannot see it.
  • Sent: The client is reviewing it.
  • Accepted: The client paid the deposit and signed the terms. The gig is officially booked!
